Sligo, Ireland

"This is what I like about photographs. They are proof that once, even if just for a heartbeat, everything was perfect."

Something has always held me back, in both what I post and how much I post. I have come to realise that its a slight fear of what people think. I have also come to realise that I no longer care.
So here are  a few pics of a trip to Sligo a few months back.
The pictures don't do the beautiful landscapes justice. It was the middle of spring and it was perfect.

Spring is Coming...

Yesterday brought the first signs of spring to Belfast. Although it was still bitter cold and the wind nearly blew me into the water, the sun was shining and the sky was blue! I went for stroll along the marina in Carrickfergus, it was a beautiful day!

Parties and Peacocks...

A few weeks ago I went to a wedding party of my friend, after just returning from a holiday and with my graduation it had been a busy few days, I didn't have time to pick up a new outfit for the event so last minute I quickly chose something from my wardrobe, seizing the unplanned opportunity to 'outfit repeat' with a reasonable excuse!
I chose a navy chiffon, floaty dress from ASOS that I had wore to a wedding once before.
I knew when I bought it that it would be a 'go to' dress for any last minute occasion.
The shape and style are classic and timeless. It can also be mixed and matched with any style of shoes, bag and makeup. I decided to brighten up the outfit by wearing bright orange heels and orange toned red lipstick to match.
I used a peacock feather clutch bag that I made myself a few years ago the night before another wedding as I was again unorganised! I think the peacock feathers pulled the outfit together and added a formal touch.
